It's a Beautiful Day for an Orange and Black Wedding

South Carolina couple sports Flyers attire on their wedding day

Something old, something new, something orange and black? Wait, that’s not right.

Well, it was perfect for die-hard Flyers fans Ed McEvoy and his wife Pam. The couple, who married last weekend in Charleston, S.C., opted to Flyer up their wedding attire.

After moving to Myrtle Beach this past March, Ed had to adjust to a long-distance relationship with his beloved hockey team.

Wearing the gear before the ceremony and directly after, Ed was initially unsure if his soon-to-be wife would agree to the non-traditional apparel.

“It was planned a week in advance. I wasn’t sure she would go for it, but she did and enjoyed it,” said Ed.

At first, Pam was far from a hockey fan. But she was quickly overcome with the orange fever after falling in love with Ed and his obsession.

When asked which Fly Guys reign supreme in the McEvoy house, Ed says Laperrier, but Pam's a Briere fan.

Ed will be back in Philly for Game Six after a friend offered up a ticket at the last minute. Let's hope the newlyweds' love can give the Flyers a little luck as they race for the Cup.
