SEPTA riders got a shock when someone discovered a snake in a trash can at a Philadelphia Regional Rail station.
The snake was found coiled up Friday morning inside a brown bag in a trash can at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority's University City Station.
The snake was dead but SEPTA police called animal control in any case, said SEPTA.
It's not yet known what type of snake it is.
