Police are holding a Delaware teen on $8,500 bail for pilfering prophylactics in a house burglary...making this one expensive condom run.

Police arrested a 16-year-old boy Thursday for breaking into a Newark, Del. home and stealing condoms.

Police responded to a call that a burglary was in progress and upon arrival found several bedroom dresser drawers and closets open.

The Wilimington, Del. teen was arrested near the home and police found gloves and condoms on him. Police matched the serial numbers on the condom packages to the numbers on the empty boxes in the home.

We’re surprised he didn’t steal them from CVS like any other normal American teenager. Oh, right, because CVS locks them up behind a glass case. Making your neighbor’s “goody drawer” a bit more accessible, perhaps.

The 16-year-old was charged with burglary, theft and possession of burglary tools.

He is being held in the Camelot Home after failing to post $8,500 bail.

We think he should get a discounted bail. After all, the kid’s smart enough to practice safe sex.
