As isolated storms struck South Jersey Tuesday afternoon, lightning struck two New Jersey State Police vehicles along the Garden State Parkway.
The strikes happened along the Parkway in Middle Township Cape May County around 2:15 p.m.

One struck trooper was taken to AtlantiCare Medical Center and is expected to be OK, said police. The other trooper wasn't injured.
A short time after the incident, NBC10's Ted Greenberg captured a tow truck hauling away both damaged state police vehicles -- a sport utility vehicle and a cruiser. Both vehicles will be inspected for damage from the lightning.
