NJ Police Try to Find Jesus Following Nativity Scene Theft

Police in New Jersey are trying to find Jesus.

Sayreville Police say the baby Jesus statue was stolen from the Christmas Creche in front of Saint Stanislaus Church on MacArthur Avenue Saturday evening.

Officials are looking for the thief, who was caught on surveillance video.

β€œWhile he will likely have to answer for this nefarious act on his day of judgment we really don't want to wait that long to hold him accountable for his actions,” Sayreville Police said in a statement.

Authorities say this is the fourth time in five years that baby Jesus has been stolen from the church’s nativity scene.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Zambrzycki at 732-525-5406.
