Man's Obituary Blames Kansas City Chiefs for Death

Missouri man's family said he had a good sense of humor

The Kansas City Chiefs not only have to deal with a losing season (Sunday's defeat puts them at 1-9), but the team is now responsible for a Missouri man's death, NFL.com reported.

An obituary that ran Sunday in the Kansas City Star read: "Loren G. 'Sam' Lickteig passed away on Nov. 14, 2012 of complications from MS and heartbreaking disappointment caused by the Kansas City Chiefs football team." He was 81.

Lickteig, an Air Force veteran and former councilman in his hometown of Grandview, Mo., was a lifelong Chiefs fan with a good sense of humor, his daughter told KSNW News.

“My dad was such a comedian," she said. "He loved the Chiefs, so we had to let him have the last word."
