Two women were sentenced to probation for attacking employees at a western Pennsylvania diner with a baseball bat and a vat of hot pasta sauce because one of the women wanted child support from a cook who worked there.
The Observer-Reporter reported 27-year-old Tori Thomas and 26-year-old Summer Thomas, both of Washington, Pennsylvania pleaded guilty and were sentenced Tuesday by a Washington County Judge. Tori Thomas will spend five years on probation and Summer Thomas two years.
Police said Tori Thomas hit a 27-year-old cook in the arm with a baseball bat, then also threw boiling hot Alfredo sauce on one of the owners of Cee Tee's Diner, 46-year-old Carla Smith.
The diner later closed after the October 2013 attack and reopened under another name.
A third defendant, 25-year-old Amanda Terry, faces trial in February.
