A Pennsylvania man was killed in upstate New York on Thursday in a freakish accident.
George Baker was loading up bales of hay along Route 5 in Lafargeville, which is near the Canadian border. While he was securing the hay with tie-down straps, three bales fell off the flat-bed truck and onto him, according to police.
Baker, 66, was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The accident is under investigation, but that's really just routine. Police do not expect any charges.
