What the Buck?

Deer runs wild through Main Line businesses

It was a wild scene in Ardmore, Pa. Tuesday morning when a deer busted through a Rite Aid and zipped down Lancaster Ave. before disappearing off into the distance.

The whole thing had witnesses asking, “what the buck?” even if it was a doe running around.

“That’s insane,” said college student Shallay Kim. “I think that’s absolutely hilarious”

It all started around 7 when Chopper 10 shot video of the deer busting out of the Rite Aid at 169 W Lancaster Ave. The damage to the store wasn’t immediately clear and Rite Aid refused comment.

The doe then darted down Lancaster Ave. to the Sunoco station at Woodside Road.

“I pulled up to get some gas in the car and I opened the door to get out and I turned around and I saw this big deer coming right at me,” said witness Richard Coleman. “I slammed the door back and opened it again and she stopped right there.”

The deer then bolted back across Lancaster Ave.

The exact whereabouts of the deer weren’t clear. It ran off into a nearby neighborhood before animal control officers could get to it.

The doe appeared to not be injured.

Local merchants were left questioning how the deer got so close to the businesses in the first place.
