Man Robs School After Seeming to Sign His Kids Up for Classes

Police are seeking a man who broke into a school in Brick Township and stole $50 and school supplies -- hours after he told a school worker that he was looking at sending his kids to the school.

Investigators say a staff member at St. Dominic's School encountered a man wandering the halls on Monday. The man said he wanted to know about sending his children to the school.

The man started filling out paperwork, but left abruptly, according to Brick Township Police.

Police say he was captured on surveillance video four hours later using what appeared to be a set of keys to open the front door of the school. He went to the main office before leaving the building.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Robert Shepherd at 732-262-1121.
