NJ Bear Sightings Stir Up Locals

Police are investigating numerous reports of bear sightings in Vineland, New Jersey.

Early Friday morning, officers confirmed to NBC10 that a bear was spotted in a tree on Columbia Ave. They are waiting for Fish & Wildlife officials to arrive and tranquilize the animal.

Animal control officers are checking out other rumored reports of two more bears in the area.

On Thursday, a bear escaped from police after the animal was spotted in a tree near the Happy Acres Trailer Park on the 1200 block of North East Ave.
