An alligator -- not this one -- got loose in a Trenton post office Friday.

An alligator got loose Friday morning in a postal sorting facility in Trenton, N.J.

The gator escaped from an express mail package inside the post office on U.S. Route 130 near Klockner Road, according to the U.S. Postal Inspectors Office in Newark.

The12-inch long reptile got out inside a large sorting bin and was was found a short time later by postal workers.
