Earlier this week the city of Philadelphia made it easier for Philadelphians to get data from and get in contact with the city’s Department of Licenses and Inspections.

The city launched the revamped www.phila.gov/LI to answer people’s concerns about properties, zoning, permits and regulations.

L&I’s newly redesigned website makes it easy for residents to search any property – especially properties folks could have a problem with.

    Per a press release:

L&I is confident that the new website will strengthen its ongoing efforts to promote transparency, improve customer service, and further partner with the residents and businesses of Philadelphia to make our City an even better place to live, work, and play.  With an easily-navigable interface designed to meet the needs of a diverse group of users, the new website represents a major achievement in the effort to improve government accessibility and accountability.

Begin searching the data by clicking on the map icon in the bottom right of the L&I site to search any property in question.
