Sixers Plan to Rest Jahlil Okafor (hamstring Soreness) Against Nuggets

Jahlil Okafor will dress and is available for the Sixers' game tonight in Denver, but the team's intention is to rest the big man because of left hamstring soreness.

Okafor scored 13 points in 24 minutes in Thursday's 100-83 loss to the Jazz. The second-year pro tweaked his hamstring during a 13-point second quarter Thursday.

After Thursday's game, Okafor said he planned on playing against the Nuggets, but Brown has decided to rest him unless they get into foul trouble or injuries occur.

With the plan for Okafor to sit tonight, head coach Brett Brown expects Noel to play close to the 22 minutes he played in Utah Thursday. Ersan İlyasova will start at power forward.

Joel Embiid returns to the lineup after sitting out Thursday's game because of rest.
