"I wish I could give you a better answer, but that's the answer," is one of the things Sixers GM Bryan Colangelo said in his lengthy conversation on 94 WIP on Friday afternoon with Chris Carlin and Ike Reese.
The thing is, Colangelo said a ton of words, but didn't really reveal a whole lot of new information. It was Conway-esque in it's dance-all-around-the-actual-question ability.
He did say they're doing everything they can to make sure Joel Embiid is healthy.
"It's safe to say it's not a significant injury if dealt with and treated appropriately," Colangelo said.
Perhaps that will make some Sixers fans feel better.
Colangelo added that Embiid will be out for the game on Saturday against the Heat and that if he wants to play in the All-Star Weekend's Rising Stars Challenge, he'd have to see the court in a game for the Sixers before then. But that is looking in doubt.

He was also asked point blank about whether Sixers fans would get to see Ben Simmons suit up this season.
"I would hope to think that he's going to play but I will only allow him to play when he presents as healthy and the doctors tell us that he is ready to go. Until then we do not have anything further to add to that."
