MIAMI - The Phillies, already with two outfielders on the disabled list, lost another one Saturday night when Pedro Florimon suffered a serious injury to his right leg.
Florimon, starting in center field, beat out an infield hit to the hole at shortstop in the second inning, extending his hitting streak to seven games. But he got hurt as he stepped on the bag and was in obvious pain.
The game was delayed for about 15 minutes as Florimon had to be carried onto a cart and taken off the field.
Hyun Soo Kim ran for Florimon.
In the bottom of the second, Nick Williams took Florimon's spot in center. Kim replaced Williams in right.
The silver lining for the Phillies is Odubel Herrera, who had been the starter in center until suffering a hamstring injury on Aug. 14, may be ready to return.
Herrera went 2 for 2 with a home run in a rehab game Thursday. For the Phillies this season, Herrera is hitting .287 with 36 doubles, three triples, 12 homers and a .799 OPS.

Florimon, 30, is hitting .348 with an .866 OPS in 15 games with the Phillies. This is his first year with the Phillies, but manager Pete Mackanin had praised him Friday, saying he hoped Florimon would have a role with the team in 2018.
"His versatility, his experience, he's played in the big leagues before," Mackanin said when asked what he liked about Florimon. "He's a professional player.
"I like him as a centerfielder. I like him at shortstop. He's a good defensive player. He's very athletic. He's sure-handed. He has good instincts. He's a switch-hitter with occasional pop. … He'd be a good guy to keep around."
