The nice thing about spring training? Even the teams that were bad last season have a fresh start.
And the Philadelphia Phillies got off on the right foot this afternoon with a solid subtweet, seemingly directed at New Jersey Governor Chris Christie who had some very negative things to say about our favorite baseball team.
As a quick refresher, Christie was on SNY TV last night to talk some Mets when he let loose on our fine city.
"The Phillies suck. Let's just start with that," Christie said. "They're from Philadelphia. They're an awful team. They're an angry, bitter fan base and it's not safe for civilized people to go to Citizens Bank Park if you want to root for the other team. Ya gotta believe what? Ya gotta believe we're awful people."
The Phillies responded with a little Bridgegate jab.
