Ilya Bryzgalov Is as Awesome (and Weird) as Ever in Video Mailbag Q&A

Ilya Bryzgalov returned to prominence this week, and he is as awesome as ever.

Bryz sat down (in a Mediterranean restaurant for some reason) to do a video mailbag for The Players' Tribune. 

Some highlights:

• First of all, that sweater. 

• Bryz gave probably the most in depth answer ever to the 'Is a hot dog a sandwich?' question.

• His Siberian husky, which became one of the stars of HBO's 24/7 in the lead up to the Flyers-Rangers Winter Classic, is alive and well.

• Bryz is a fan of Vegas hockey. If there was ever a goalie/personality for Vegas hockey, it's Bryz.

• Which is perfect, becasue Bryz said he would love to come back to the NHL.

If only his game was as good as his personality. 

And if HBO is looking for a follow-up series to 24/7, Bryz and Joel Embiid would make the perfect True Detective season three team.
