Catfish-eating ‘Penguins Fan' Actually a ‘Flyers Fan' Which Seems Dubious

Sidney Crosby is very good at playing hockey and the Pittsburgh Penguins are Stanley Cup champions yet again much to the chagrin of Philadelphia Flyers fans everywhere. Or so you'd think!

This is a story with many twists and... tales. It begins in Nashville where fans throw catfish on the ice at hockey games.

It ends in the streets of Pittsburgh with a guy wearing a Penguins t-shirt eating a raw catfish in some sort of animalistic celebration.

Flyers fans would probably think to mock him except... he's one of our own? Sounds suspect.

The Pittsburgh Post Gazette caught up with the man in the photo -- AJ Alleyne, a 22-year-old from Philadelphia -- who is now somehow a Penguins fan because he lives there. It just doesn't make sense, I know.

"I'm from Philly. And I'm a Flyers fan, as well (laugh)," he told them. "I really wasn't a big Pittsburgh fan or anything like that, but I still root for the Penguins and Steelers a bit. I didn't like the Predators. I don't think anybody likes Nashville at all, so I was rooting for the Penguins to win."

Again, confusing. A human -- let alone a human originally from Philadelphia -- thinks everybody dislikes NASHVILLE yet somehow he likes PITTSBURGH. The mind boggles.

More from the Q&A, which is just baffling in its entirety:

Q: If you're a Flyers fan, how did you get into being a Pittsburgh sports and Penguins fan?

A: Just living here and having friends here. I always, a little bit, liked the Steelers. I always knew about the rivalry with both sides of Pa., and I'm always a hundred percent with Philly teams, but living in Pittsburgh, it's grown on me. I've grown to be a fan.

What, dude? What. No. Just. I don't. Ugh.

I don't know what to say. I guess some people from Philadelphia aren't very bright. And people living in Pittsburgh certainly aren't very bright either. But at least they get to be happy sometimes? Like last night. Ugh.

At least we know he now knows the horrors of what raw catfish tastes like.

Some Philly fan he is.
