Sights and Scenes From Carson Wentz Before His 2018 Debut

Carson Wentz is going to make his 2018 debut and he's going to make it in the rain.

As he always does, Wentz was on the field early for warmups and looked good.

Wentz took some time going through stretches before he threw the ball for a little bit. He then met and had a chat with Colts quarterback Andrew Luck and Colts head coach Frank Reich, who used to be the Eagles' offensive coordinator.

It's raining in South Philly and it isn't expected to stop all afternoon. That seems like a bad way for Wentz to make his debut, but maybe it's not.

NBC Sports Philadelphia analyst Barrett Brooks thinks it could actually be a good thing for two reasons.

1. Offensive linemen love the rain because teams generally run more.

2. Defensive linemen have a harder time getting off the ball in the muck.

No. 2 is a pretty good reason. Obviously, the less pressure Wentz sees, the better his afternoon will be.

I'm not worried about the rain. Wentz has played in the rain before. I'm still more worried about him not settling into the game because of nerves and excitement for him trying to do a little too much.

One thing is for sure, Wentz looks zoned in and ready for this game. He even led the rest of the skill guys out of the tunnel.
