So much was made in recent weeks about the possibility the Eagles could lose offensive coordinator Frank Reich or defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz to a head coaching job.
Now, it appears they might be in danger of a different coach leaving for a promotion.
Acording to ESPN's Adam Caplan, Eagles quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo is among the people the Jets are targeting for their recently-vacated offensive coordinator job.
The Jets' OC job became available on Tuesday, when Chan Gailey officially retired.
DeFilippo, 38, just finished his first season as the Eagles' quarterbacks coach. DeFilippo has local roots - before heading off to play quarterback at James Madison, DeFilippo starred at Radnor High School. His father, Gene, was the athletic director at Villanova from 1993-97.
Before DeFilippo joined the Eagles, he was most recently the Browns' offensive coordinator in 2015 and was the Raiders' quarterbacks coach from 2012-14. He spent 2010-11 at San Jose State before getting back into the NFL.

DeFilippo spent one season with the Jets, in 2009, as their assistant quarterbacks coach. That was the year the Jets drafted Mark Sanchez and he led the team to the AFC Championship Game.
This season, DeFilippo spent more time with rookie Carson Wentz than any other coach, so his leaving could negatively affect Wentz's development.
Recently, it's also been reported that the Bills want to interview Reich for their head coaching job.
That means there's a possibility Wentz could lose two of his closest coaches by the time next season starts.
