One week after taking down the NFL's top offense, the Eagles failed to produce the same result against the league's top defense.
The Eagles followed up their impressive 24-15 win over the Falcons in Week 10 with an underwhelming performance on both sides of the ball in a 26-15 loss to the Seahawks.
Now at 5-5, the Eagles are a seemingly insurmountable four games back of the Cowboys in the NFC East, but trail the Lions by just one game for the second wild-card position.
In the current playoff picture, the Eagles are on the outside looking in and that postseason stance was reflected in this week's power rankings roundup, as the Birds fell out of the top 12 across the board.
FOX Sports' Cameron DaSilva: Down two spots to No. 14
"Carson Wentz has looked like exactly the player he is in Sunday's loss to the Eagles: a rookie. He’s struggled with turnovers and doesn’t have much success when throwing downfield, which he rarely does anymore," DaSilva wrote. "His receivers and their balky hands don’t help, but the Eagles’ recent struggles can mostly be attributed to Wentz’s issues. Fortunately, the NFC is wide open and they’re still well within the running for a postseason berth."
NFL.com's Elliot Harrison: Down four spots to No. 14
"Sizeable drop for Philly after a loss that was more of a blowout than the final score ( 26-15) indicates," Harrison wrote. "Admittedly, your Power Ranker had given the Eagles some tough love of late, as they didn't move higher than the 10 spot after beating the Falcons in Week 10. The issue? Well, fans might not realize it, but the Eagles now have dropped five of their last seven games and are a distant fourth in the NFC East (0-3 in the division). After owning a passer rating north of 100 through his first four starts, Carson Wentz has enjoyed only one game over 90 since, piling up a not-robust 4:6 touchdown-to-interception ratio in that span. Luckily for the much-praised rookie, the Packers' defense limps into the Linc next Monday night."

Yahoo Sports' Frank Schwab: Down five spots to No. 15
"Darren Sproles has a fractured rib. Ryan Mathews has a right knee injury," Schwab wrote. "Just as the Eagles started to figure out that they needed to take some responsibility off Carson Wentz’s plate by leaning on the running game, the offense might go all back on the rookie quarterback’s shoulders."
ESPN: Down seven spots to No. 15
"Less than 11 months ago, QB Carson Wentz was battling Jacksonville State. Now he's coming off a battle with "The Legion of Boom." Wentz may be coming down to earth, but remember, he is still a rookie. He'll have a chance to pad his stats against the depleted Packers secondary on Monday night."

"The Eagles play like a contender at home and like a pretender on the road," Maske wrote. "That’s not good enough to be a team that matters."
