NFL Notes: Bears Release All-time Leading Scorer Robbie Gould

LAKE FOREST, Ill. β€” The Chicago Bears have signed kicker Connor Barth to replace Robbie Gould.

General manager Ryan Pace announced the move on Monday.

Barth played in 12 games for Tampa Bay last season, going 23 of 28 on field goals and making 25 of 26 extra points. He signed with the Saints in May and was released on Saturday.

Barth played for Bears coach John Fox in Denver in 2014. He replaces the most accurate kicker in franchise history after the Bears released Gould on Sunday night.

Cardinals: QB Murray added to practice squad
TEMPE, Ariz. β€” The Arizona Cardinals have signed quarterbacks Zac Dysert and Aaron Murray to the practice squad.

Dysert, a seventh-round draft pick by Denver out of Miami in 2013, was on the practice squads for Houston and Buffalo last season. He was in training camp with the Miami Dolphins this year before being released in the final roster cuts.

Kansas City drafted Murray in the fifth round out of Georgia in 2014. He was the No. 3 quarterback for the Chiefs the past two seasons but did not play in a game. Murray was released in the Chiefs' final roster cuts last week.

The Cardinals are going with two quarterbacks on the active roster β€” Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton β€” after releasing Matt Barkley.

Bills: Aaron Williams returns from concussion
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. β€” Buffalo Bills safety Aaron Williams has returned to practice after missing nearly a month recovering from a concussion and is set to start in the team's season opener at Baltimore on Sunday.

Coach Rex Ryan provided the update Tuesday, when the team resumed practicing following a three-day break. Williams has been out since Aug. 11, when he was hurt during a heavy collision with receiver Dez Lewis at training camp.

The Bills took extra precaution with Williams, who sustained a severe neck injury that limited him to playing just three games last season.

Right tackle Seantrel Henderson returned to practice after missing last week due to an undisclosed reason.

Starting running back LeSean McCoy was excused from practice for personal reasons.
