There were a whole lot of people who were excited when the Philadelphia Eagles selected Sidney Jones with the 43rd pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Eagles fans were elated that the team took a risk on a stud cornerback - a position of desperate need for the franchise.
Jones was stoked to finally hear his name called after some concerns over his injury prevented him from going earlier. And two other people were simply thrilled to be involved in announcing his name.
Mikki and Chris, wife and son of U.S. Army 1st Lt. Demetrius Frison who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2011, were chosen to accompany Ron Jaworski to announce the Eagles' pick in the second round as part of the NFL's Salute to Service initiative.
Lt. Frison was a native of Philadelphia and a huge Eagles fan so it was a special moment for his family
Well, that wasn't the only treat Mikki and Chris would end up receiving. They got the opportunity to finally meet Sidney this week at the team's NovaCare Complex and they presented him with a special gift, one of Lt. Frison's dog tags.
