The Eagles on Thursday signed seven of their eight draft picks in advance of the team's rookie minicamp, which starts Friday. 

Sidney Jones, Rasul Douglas, Mack Hollins, Donnel Pumphrey, Shelton Gibson, Nathan Gerry and Elijah Qualls all signed their four-year rookie deals. 

First-rounder Derek Barnett is the only draft pick left unsigned. 

Getting rookies to sign their initial contracts has become more of a formality since the slotted pay system in the 2011 CBA was introduced. The days of rookie holdouts lasting into training camp are mostly all gone. 

The draft picks and all rookies will participate in the three-day rookie minicamp at the NovaCare Complex this weekend. Players reported to the facility on Thursday. 

Veterans will join them at practices when organized team activities (OTAs) begin on May 23.
