Eagles Host Steelers in Most Expensive Home Game This Season

The Wentz Wagon will be charging a serious premium to ride this weekend.

The 2-0 Eagles return to Lincoln Financial Field looking much like a contender for the NFC East crown. They’ll face their toughest challenge yet this Sunday, however, as they battle the like-minded 2-0 Steelers for the Pride of Pennsylvania.

And with Big Ben and Co. headed to the Linc for the first time in eight years, fans will be paying up for Eagles tickets on the secondary market.

On TicketIQ, the official ticket partner of CSN Philly, Eagles tickets against the Steelers now own a resale average of $406. No other game this weekend will cross the $400 average threshold, with the Seahawks and 49ers playing in the second highest-priced game ($376 average). Sunday’s game marks a 58 percent boost over the Eagles’ $256 season average across all eight home games.

Take a look below at how resale prices fare over the Eagles’ remaining seven games at home this season:

If looking to just get past the gates on Sunday, the cheapest tickets are currently listed from $254 each in the 200s behind the western field goal post. It will be the most expensive game on the Eagles home schedule this season.

Fans will have little luck perusing the primary market for tickets against the Steelers. All Eagles tickets on Ticketmaster, including standing-room-only options, have sold out for this weekend’s game. In fact, all but one game this season has sold out on the primary market: Tickets are still available for a Week 14 matchup against the Redskins.

Sunday’s matchup marks the Eagles and Steelers’ first meeting since 2012. With AFC and NFC teams meeting once every four years, it will be just the second time the Steelers play at Lincoln Financial Field. They lost their inaugural game there in 2008 though would go on to defeat the Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII later that season.
