Carson Wentz to Host Charity Softball Game in June

Carson Wentz and his teammates have spent plenty of time in the end zone practicing their baseball celebrations.

Now they'll get to put it all to good use.

Wentz on Thursday announced that his AO1 Foundation will be hosting the inaugural Carson Wentz Charity Softball Game on the evening of June 1 at Citizens Bank Park. The game will pin Wentz and the offense vs. his defensive teammates.

In addition to the game, there will also be a home run derby and a silent auction. There will also apparently be post-game fireworks.

Tickets won't go on sale until February. Parking will be free. The game will happen at night and gates will open at 4 p.m.

More information can be found here.

Wentz isn't the first NFL star to host a charity softball game. In Houston, J.J. Watt hosted his first charity softball game in 2013 at an independent league stadium. It has since moved to Minute Maid Park, the home of the Astros.
