Carson Wentz Is Your NFC Offensive Player of the Month for October

Carson Wentz can add another award to the growing list.

The Eagles' quarterback has been named the NFC's Offensive Player of the Month for October.

This is the first time in his career he's won a Player of the Month award and it likely won't be his last.

In October, Wentz helped lead the Eagles to a 5-0 record. He completed 60 percent of his passes for 1,247 yards and threw 14 touchdowns to just three interceptions and had a passer rating of 110.4. He has also shown ability with his legs, rushing for 120 yards in the month as well.

Wentz's 14 touchdown passes are the most ever for an Eagles' quarterback in a single calendar month.

Before this stretch of games, Wentz had never thrown three touchdown passes in a game. He's done it three times in the last five games.

Three of Wentz's four best passer ratings in a game, including his top two, came in this last month - 128.3 against Arizona, 126.3 against Washington, 110.7 against Carolina.

Wentz was already named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his Week 7 performance against Washington.

During the last month, Wentz hasn't just helped the Eagles take control of the NFC East, he's also vaulted his name to the forefront of the MVP discussion in his second NFL season.

Wentz is the first Eagles player to win NFC Offensive Player of the Month since LeSean McCoy in December of 2013 and the first Eagles QB to win since Nick Foles in November of that same year.
