Alshon Jeffery will be officially introduced to the Philadelphia media on Friday afternoon but he's already gushed about his new quarterback Carson Wentz.
First at the Philly airport to CSN's John Clark and later in a piece Alshon wrote for the Player's Tribune.
Jeffery talked a lot about his experience in Chicago playing for the Bears and what that city meant to him. He mentions watching Michael Jordan and Walter Payton as a youngster, how he wanted to become the greatest Bears receiver of all-time and bring the city another Super Bowl.
He fell short in Chicago but has similar hopes in Philadelphia.
After thanking everyone who supported him in Chicago, Alshon turned to his new city and new quarterback.
Jeffery recalls watching Carson Wentz play against the Bears in week 2 of last season and seeing something there despite it being so early in his career.

"I remember thinking for a quick second, Man, this kid can do some things," Jeffery writes.
"As the season went on and he kept playing better, I thought that someday he was gonna be a legit MVP contender. I think he has that kind of talent."
He shares a text exchange the two had after news broke of Jeffery coming to Philly. Alshon told Carson he believes the second-year QB has the potential to win an MVP in the NFL and Carson responded by saying all he wants is to win a championship.
In a I'm-not-sure-how-to-feel-about-this moment, Jeffery writes that what he thinks of Philadelphia comes from watching the Disney movie "Invincible" recently. I suppose that's better than "National Treasure."
"I actually just watched the movie Invincible a couple of months ago," he writes. "You remember that scene where Mark Wahlberg scores a touchdown at the old Veterans Stadium, and he holds his arms out to celebrate, and all you can see in front of him are the fans going nuts and wearing that old-school Eagles green and white."
"That's what I imagine it's going to feel like playing at the Linc."
Well, at least he supports bringing back the old-school green and white! Eagles fans can get behind that.
