Another coastal storm will impact the area Sunday keeping the rain and a chilly, gusty wind in the forecast. Timing will be everything once the storm begins to move out Sunday night, as Game 3 of the NLCS is scheduled to start at 8 p.m.

During the day Sunday the wind will pick up again out of the northeast. Wind could gust to almost 30 miles per hour in Philadelphia and be even higher along the coast. This will lead to more coastal flooding for the Jersey and Delaware beaches on Sunday.

A coastal flood warning is in effect until noon tomorrow as the persistent northeast wind, heavy rain and high tide continues to pile water up along the coast and back bays. A coastal flood advisory is in effect for tidal sections off the Delaware River until 4 a.m. Sunday.

Along with wind and coastal flooding, heavy rain is possible at times especially during the morning. The rain could mix with snow in the higher elevations of the Poconos and even accumulate. A winter weather advisory is in effect for that area until Sunday morning.

Sunday evening the storm will move out and the steady rain may change over to just a few showers. This will all be occurring up to the start of the NLCS game 3 start.

Each day this week will get warmer with more sunshine. Temperatures may be above 70 degrees by the end of the week ahead of some more rain for the weekend.
