Eagles running back Brian Westbrook will not be suiting up for Sunday night's showdown against the New York Giants.
This is the fourth consecutive game where No. 36 will sit on the sidelines.
Westbrook was knocked off the eligible list back on Nov. 15 after he earned his second concussion of the season against the San Diego Chargers. Earlier in the season, the running back sat out for two games due to another head injury sustained during a game against the Washington Redskins.
Eagles head coach Andy Reid said Westbrook looks to be recovering nicely.
"He has a new helmet he's wearing and he's testing that out," Reid said during a press conference Friday. "I think it was good for him and it's taking baby steps here, but he was able to make it through these days and felt good."
After earning his second concussion, Westbrook visited sports medicine doctors who specialize in head injuries at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center. Those doctors said they expect him to make a full recovery.
During Friday's press conference, he also gave injury updates for other key players.
Wide receivers Kevin Curtis and Jeremy Maclin are both listed as questionable for play with a knee and foot injury, respectively.
Tight end Brent Celek, wide receiver Jason Avant and linebacker Akeem Jordan are all expected to take the field.
The Eagles kickoff against the Giants in The Medowlands at 8:20 p.m. on NBC10.
