Could the Ax-Man cometh again?
Former Eagle great Jeremiah Trotter reportedly worked out for the team on Thursday.
Trotter, 32, was a linebacker for the Eagles from 1998 to 2001 and 2004 to 2006. He was selected to four Pro-Bowls.
He was released by the team in August 2007 and retired after a brief stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during that season.
While some may see this as a kind gesture, others likely view it as a sign of sheer desperation for a team that is currently struggling on the defensive end.

If he ends up joining the roster, Trotter will bring with him a great deal of experience and leadership. However, considering the fact that he hasn’t played in more than a year and suffered from knee problems throughout his career, its uncertain how effective he’ll be physically.
Trotter is optimistic however, saying that the workout went well and that he felt good during a radio interview, according to Nick Fierro of the Morning Call.
Trotter also appeared energetic while coaching his son’s Pop Warner football team Thursday night.
