Your votes can help make the Sixers Dancers number one.

The NBA dancing equivalent to March Madness began Wednesday as the Sixers Dancers go up against the Nets Dancers in the first round of the NBA Dance Team Bracket .

All 30 NBA dance teams are vying to be the best. The winner of the single-elimination tournament will be named the fans' favorite dance team.

While the Sixers Dancers are dedicated professional dancers, coach Christian Naven said they deserve to win for another reason.

“They do a lot of work in the community. They visit hospitals and schools. They do countless charity events," said Naven.

The Sixers Dancers made it to the final four last year, but lost to the Miami Heat Dancers.

“The Miami Heat Dancers have won the past four years. Beating them would be a great accomplishment," said Naven.

Most of all, the team would greatly appreciate the recognition by fans, she said.

Sixers fans can click here to vote for the Sixers Dancers. Voting ends Thursday at 2 p.m.

The Second Round starts March 26. Let's make sure the Sixers Dancers are there.
