It looked like at least two Phillies will be playing for Charlie Manuel at the 2009 All-Star Game. Phils second baseman Chase Utley and injured leftfielder Raul Ibanez were both handedly leading their positions in All-Star fan voting.

Utley will likely start his third-straight Mid-Summer Classic. (Is he the modern Cal Ripken?) He held more than a 2,200,000-vote lead over all other National League second baseman in the latest All-Star Game fan voting results released Monday.

Ibanez, despite landing on the 15-day disabled list earlier this month, (right around the same time the Phillies began to slide interestingly enough) continued to lead all National League outfielders with nearly 3 million votes.

One Phillie who looked cooked in his All-Star bid was Jimmy Rollins. He dropped to more than 200,000 votes behind Florida shortstop Hanley Ramirez.

Utley's cool demeanor is a big hit with fans around baseball.

Ibanez has quickly made a big splash in the NL.

Phils centerfielder Shane Victorino continued to climb the chart for outfielders. He was fifth on the latest results but still paced more than 400,000 behind third-placed outfielder Carlos Beltran.

Fans wanting to give the Flyin Hawaiian a final push can vote up to 25 times at MLB.com.
