The Bron Show Comes to Town

The Sixers are playoff-bound but they won't be the main event Friday night at the sold-out Wachovia Center.

LeBron James is coming to town and he is bringing his Cavaliers along for the ride.

Both team have something on the line. James' Cavs are fighting (Kobe Bryant's Lakers) for the best record in the NBA -- the Sixers are fighting for playoff positioning.

The advantage in this one has to go to the Cavs. They are 63-15 and prone to be the No. 1 seed in the Eastern conference -- possibly the No. 1 overall record -- if they win out.

The Cavs want to have home-court advantage in the NBA Finals (if they get there) so they won't be resting any starters against the Sixers.

The Sixers (40-38), on the other hand, are struggling to stay above .500 losing three straight games. They are only one game behind the Miami Heat for the fifth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference if they keep losing they could drop all the way to the final playoff spot.

The Sixers must pass the Heat to avoid playing the Boston Celtics or Orlando Magic in round one of the playoffs. The first step to that could be a win over the mighty Cavs.

But, don't expect much from the Sixers. They have struggled the two times they've faced the Cavs this season.

So, if you're going down to the game don't worry about who wins or lose. Just worry about getting a good look at the great King James and appreciate all that he brings to the court.

You might be rooting for James when his Cavs face Kobe's Lakers in the Finals.

And, if you're going to game get there early. The Phantoms game at the Spectrum is also sold out so the sports complex will be packed.
