At 81-years old, it was Patterno's 382nd career win.

Who said he was washed up?

It looked as if JoePa had his boys studying tape before the game because the Nittany Lions continued a trend that saw Indiana being outscored 163-68 after halftime.

Overall the Hoosiers could only manage a mere six total first downs, PSU's fewest ever allowed against a Big 10 rival and 180 yards of offense.

The PSU offense on the other hand drenched Indiana almost as much as the rain that pelted down on Beaver Stadium.

Derrick Williams led the way with a 39-yard touchdown reception to give PSU an early 7-0 lead. He also scampered 36-yards for a touchdown in the fourth to seal the deal for the Nittany Lions.

Williams touched the ball eight times on the day with four receptions for 62 yards and another 61 on four carries.

Tailback Evan Royster came running out of the locker room after the half and never stopped giving PSU the lead for good with his 19-yard TD sprint to start the third quarter.

It was also a historic day in the Valley. Dion Butler passed Bobby Engram with his 168th reception to set the school record. Butler finished the day with 56 yards and a touchdown.

Happy Valley is now happy once more.
