NObama: Steelers' Harrison Passes on White House Visit

Second president the defensive player has snubbed

There aren't too many people who would skip a visit to the White House and a meeting with President Barack Obama.  Especially when the rest of your team is going after winning a national championship game.

But apparently James Harrison, the NFL's reigning Defensive Player of the Year and a key cog in the Steelers' Super Bowl victory over the Arizona Cardinals, doesn't understand the concept, NFL Fanhouse reports.  He's going to skip the traditional White House visit.

Much the same way he did with President George W. Bush in 2006 after the Steelers won that Super Bowl.

"This is how I feel -- if you want to see the Pittsburgh Steelers, invite us when we don't win the Super Bowl. As far as I'm concerned, he [Obama] would've invited Arizona if they had won," said Harrison.

That's his right, as NFL Fanhouse says, but we don't have to agree with it.

It's the WHITE HOUSE you're passing up, Harrison.  A chance to meet the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, the LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD.
