Troy Tulowitzki's mullet was only average over the first three NLDS games as he batted .273 with a double and two RBI.

Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki may be trying to bring back the mullet but after failing in the clutch against the Phillies late Sunday night (or was it Monday morning?) he just looked plain ridiculous.

Obviously channeling mullet-power in the NLDS didn’t work for Tulowitzki in Game 3 when he popped out to left to end the game.

Heck, he could have sported all sorts of looks to improve his game -- like the covering-my-entire-face look that umpire Tim Timmons was rocking or the full-head-fur-hat looks worn by Rockies fans but Tulowitzki opted for the classic mullet look.

And, the toughest thing to swallow for T.T. might be that his mullet was bested by Brad Lidge’s goatee.

But, alas there could be some appreciation for T.T.’s business-in-the-front and party-in-the-back look especially in Philly. He would actually have fit in nicely with the 1993 “Macho Row” Phillies. Heck, his looked has even drawn comparisons to everyone from Kenny Powers to Lenny Dykstra.

But, alas, like we learned from Kenny Powers on Eastbound & Down -- Tulowitzki was “f’ing out” and the Phillies were almost in to the National League Championship Series.
