Just a few months ago, Jonathan Toews and Mike Richards were Olympic teammates who helped Canada bring home the gold medal in men's hockey at Vancouver.
The two young captains will now lead their teams -- and battle each other -- for the Stanley Cup championship. Toews has led the Blackhawks to the Western Conference title and Richards has done the same in the East with the Flyers.
The players are 1-2 in scoring in the NHL playoffs filling the highlight reels with amazing plays. How the guys with āCā on their chests play will go a long way in determining which city starving for a hockey championship will be celebrating.
Richards and Toews will be face-to-face when the first puck drops Saturday night in Chicago at 8 p.m. on NBC.
