No makeup date was announced.
Coincidentally, the Marlins held a groundbreaking ceremony earlier in the day for their new ballpark, which will include a retractable roof. It's scheduled to open for the 2012 season.
The NL East-leading Phillies went into the game with a seven-game winning streak.
Florida took a 2-0 lead in the first inning against Joe Blanton. Emilio Bonifacio and Hanley Ramirez singled, and Jeremy Hermida hit a two-out, two-run double.
The game was stopped after John Baker grounded out to start the bottom of the second inning.
