T-shirts bearing the Phillies' new rallying cry, "Why Can't Us?," are selling like hot cakes, with the money going to charity.

There's a huge movement on the Internet to make the catch phrase for the Phillies 2008 World Series run “Why Can’t Us?”  The grammatically challenged rallying call has spread to t-shirts, the anchors on ESPN's SportsCenter, and across the city.

The slogan originated on an XM radio show in which a Phillies fan uttered the immortal words. From there, the local sports blog The 700 Level worked to push the phrase into the vernacular.

T-shirts with the slogan are selling with the proceeds going the charity, and a Facebook page for the phrase has become the piece of online flair for the web-ready Phillie fan. Listen to the original interview below, provided (once again) by The 700 Level.
