LFL
No. 13 is not Tyra Lusby’s unlucky number.
It's no trick. The Lingerie Football League's Philadelphia Passion whipped the New York Majesty 40-6 Friday night.
The Majesty's defense just didn't stand a bra -- er, chance -- against the Passion and wide receiver Tyra Lusby, who scored 5 touchdowns, Tabby Haskins, who made another touchdown, and quarterback Jackie Danico, who threw for over 50 yards.
The game, played to a mainly male crowd of about 400 at the Sovereign Center in Reading, marked the debut of the LFL this year.
When the Passion ran its first lap around the field at the Sovereign Center, the fans were so eager for a high-five, they pushed the foam off the walls near the end zone, the Reading Eagle reported.
Philly came with a pre-season No. 2 LFL Power Ranking and can thank its off-season success to head coach Chandler Brown, according to an LFL statement.
The Passion's next game is November 6 against the Miami Caliente at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ.
Now if only they'd get some male cheerleaders, maybe the LFL would attract a bigger crowd...
