Durbin Latest Phillie Headed to DL

Righty reliever goes down with hamstring injury

Phillies reliever Chad Durbin was sent to the disabled list Thursday -- a day after he strained his right hamstring.

Durbs was hurt trying to field a ninth inning bunt in the Phillies 7-6 comeback win over the Indians.

The 32-year-old reliever was 0-1 with a 3.31 ERA, 31 strikeouts and 11 walks in 29 relief appearances.

Durbin joins fellow regulars Ryan Madson, Carlos Ruiz and J.A. Happ on the crowded Phillies DL.

To replace Durbin the Phillies opened up the bullpen door to a familiar face -- they recalled right-hander Nelson Figueroa from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Figs was 1-1 with a save while posting a 4.82 ERA in nine games with the Phillies earlier this season. He was designated for assignment at the end of May to free a roster space for closer Brad Lidge.

It wasn't clear how long Durbin would be on the mend.
