Raul Leads Phillies Past Orioles

The Phillies knocked the Orioles out of the park on Friday.

Ryan Howard and Raul Ibanez each homered and drove in three runs, while Shane Victorino had two hits and scored three times to lead the Phillies to a 13-6 win over the Baltimore Orioles.

While the Phils got hot at the plate, Cliff Lee struggled in his third spring start. The southpaw allowed three runs and five hits in three innings while striking out two.

The Phightins scored three runs in the first off Jeremy Guthrie, highlighted by Ibanez's home run and added four more in the fifth including back-to-back homers off Kevin Gregg. Howard hit his long, two-run home run to right field, his fourth. Ross Gload followed it with a solo shot.

The Phillies added five runs in the ninth.

Guthrie allowed four runs and six hits in four innings.

The Phillies will split things up tomorrow as they face the Pirates in Bradenton and the Rays in Clearwater.
