Showtime in Cincy: T.O. Joins Ochocinco, Bengals

Sports and performance art may be about to collide on the field in Paul Brown Stadium this fall.

Terrell Owens, the mercurial but talented wideout , is set to join buddy Chad Ochocinco as part of the Cincinnati Bengals revamped receiver corps. The former 49ers, Eagles, Cowboys and Bills star signed a one year deal worth $2 million on Tuesday, according to ESPN.

Owens took to Twitter to announce his arrival in the Queen City.

"Ocho Uno is coming 2 town!! Hey Robin, Batman will b there soon!" he wrote.

The "Robin" in that formulation, Ochocinco, lobbied for his friend to join a team that exceeded all expectations last season by winning the AFC North with a 10-6 record.

The two stars promise to bring an element of celebrity to the blue-collar town that it has rarely seen. Both players have their own reality shows on VH1: Chad's dating show, "The Ultimate Catch," and "The T.O. Show," which follows Owens' life on a daily basis.

Fans of end zone celebrations won't want to miss any Bengals games this season, as this dynamic duo has been responsible for some memorable shenanigans over the course of their careers. From T.O. pulling a Sharpie out of his sock to sign a football, to Ochocinco's faux marriage proposal to a cheerleader after a score, there will certainly be no end to the on-field antics next season. The possibilities for tandem celebrations and one-upmanship are mind boggling. There might be enough smack talking to make Dr. Johnny Fever proud.

But of course, it won't be all laughs. The pairing of Ochocinco and Owens could be a boon for quarterback Carson Palmer and last year's 26th ranked passing attack, as they have combined for over 200 touchdowns and 1690 catches over their 24 total NFL seasons. Their reception tally makes them second among active teammates, placing them behind Randy Moss and Torry Holt of New England (1,846) and ahead of the Baltimore Ravens Derrick Mason and Anquan Boldin (1,449).
