Roger Federer Wins Australian Open

Roger Federer has done it again.

The Swiss tennis great took his fourth Australian Open title this weekend, beating British contender Andy Murray in three sets to extend his win record to 16 Grand Slam titles.

Federer dismantled Murray 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (11) in the final match, successfully prolonging the British drought for men from the United Kingdom at Grand Slams.

The tennis star lost in the 2009 year to then-No.1 ranked Rafael Nadal, who fell earlier in the tournament.

Federer, who dropped serve only twice in the match against Murray, hit 46 winners.

"I'm over the moon winning this again. I think I played some of my best tennis in my life these last two weeks," Federer told the Associated Press.

Federer was playing in his 22nd Grand Slam final.

The women's champion, Serena Williams, is also a repeat Australian Open winner -- she has taken home the trophy five times.
