Little “Fly Girl” Knows the Orange and Black

Pint-sized fan amazes with her Flyers knowledge and cuteness

Natalie D'Alfonso may be pint-sized, but her love for the Flyers is bigger than a Zamboni. And this 3-year-old lets everyone know.

The Northeast Philly toddler not only watches every game with her family, but she can list the entire line -- name and number.

Just watch and be charmed:

Natalie's mom Debbie posted the adorable video on YouTube and now it's quickly becoming a favorite across Flyers nation.

Greg Weiss, a Flyers transplant in Los Angeles, Calif., liked Natalie's skills so much that he started a Facebook movement to have the team play her video on the Wachovia Center's jumbotron.

Weiss, a lifelong Flyers fan originally from Reading, Pa. who plays amateur hockey, says he just stumbled across the video after the Fly Guys Eastern Conference win.

"The thing that really got me was the end, when she says 'OR-ANGE AND BLACK!'  It just gets you so fired up and excited," Weiss said over email. "Everyone would love the video because she’s amazing, but it would also REALLY fire up the crowd!"

The group called Get this video on the Flyers jumbotron before start of Game 3! already had more than 150 members before the video got media attention.

So how'd Natalie, a third generation Flyers fan, learn all about the Orange and Black? Her uncle Bob, of course.

"I went through the names and numbers with her and in 15 minutes, she picked up eight of them," he said.

Bob says he held Flyers class every other night and before they knew it, Natalie was a pro.

NBC Philadelphia anchor Denise Nakano quizzed Natalie using only photos and numbers of the players and the girl didn't miss a beat.

Uncle Bob says the toddler especially likes when the Fly Guys win -- causing her to jump up and down in a frenzy.

"She really takes a good interest in the game," he said.

But Debbie admits Natalie gets most excited when the team brawls on the ice.
