Mike Knuble just got capped by the cap and then signed with the Caps.

That’s right, Mike Knuble no longer plays for the Flyers, CSNPhilly.com reported.

Knuble, who scored 28 goals and 25 power-play points last season, reportedly signed a two-year deal with the Washington Capitals for $2.8 million a year.

The Flyers hoped to be able to retain Knuble, but it appeared that the salary cap prevented anything from being worked out between the two sides.

On a positive note, a familiar face will soon don the orange and black again -- Brian Boucher will return.

Boucher, who played last season with the San Jose Sharks, signed a two-year, $1.8 million deal to back-up newcomer Ray Emery, according CSNPhilly.com.

"Boosh" was between the pipes for the Flyers for his first three seasons in the NHL until he was traded to Phoenix in 2002. His best season with the Fly Guys was his rookie season of 1999-2000 when he posted a minuscule 1.91 goals against average in 35 games.
