Jackson Back to Action for Giants Game

Wide receivers says he will play Sunday

Star Eagles wideout DeSean “Action” Jackson should suit up Sunday night against the Giants.

"I'll be back," Jackson told NBCPhiladelphia's John Clark Monday night.

OK, but will he play?

“I’m gonna play,” D-Jax said Monday on 97.5 the Fanatic.

Barring any setbacks, Jackson should be back on the field after sitting out the Eagles Week 13 beat down of Atlanta with a concussion that he suffered the week before against the Redskins.

“Everyday I’m getting a little better,” said Jackson about his injury. “I’m just ready for the Giants this week.”

The Birds hinted that Jackson would be back earlier Monday when they released rookie wide receiver Jordan Norwood after the Penn-State product played just one game in Eagles green.

By releasing Norwood the Birds cleared the way for Jackson to return and he might not be alone.

Fellow wideout Kevin Curtis and running back Brian Westbrook could also return to action Sunday night as the 8-4 Birds battle the 7-5 G-Men with huge playoff implications on the line, according to the Burlington County Times.

Curtis has sat out most of the season after undergoing knee surgery after Week 2.

Westbrook was knocked out of the Birds loss at San Diego three weeks ago after suffering his second concussion of the season and he hasn’t played since.

If the entire trio can play Sunday Donovan McNabb might have trouble making sure everyone gets the ball.
