There is one recent champion pulling for the Wildcats in the Final Four -- Jimmy Rollins.
The Phillies MVP shortstop's relationship with the Wildcats goes beyond just being a fan. Some could argue he is a "BFF" of Villanova Head Coach Jay Wright.
J-Roll and Jay Wright let their thumbs do the talking.
J-Roll appeared with the Wildcats at Midnight Madness this season. Since then he and Wright text message each other often, according to the Delco Times.
Rollins will be following the action as the Cats play North Carolina in Detroit on Saturday night.
It's no "LOL" situation.
The often out-spoken Rollins offers Wright advice and the Nova coach gives words of wisdom to the baseball All-Star.
"The way he goes out there, he's a disciplinarian and he gets your attention," Rollins said to the AP. "He knows his stuff, knows his players. I just admire everything about that."
Rollins texted Wright to give him dap for leading the Cats to the Final Four, Wright told NBC Philadelphia.
Well let's hope that the basketball coach and baseball player have plenty of congratulatory texts ahead of them this season.
Go Cats and Phils.
